This web site started in the fall of 2002. The name HandCraftedCollectibles came about because the first items we carried for sale were little Soap stone animal figurines made in South America. Inexperience and lack of demand lead to this product being discontinued.

The next emphasis in 2003 was to sell the famous sterling silver Affirmation Charms and handmade jewelry. The affirmation jewelry charms took off very nicely and continues today to be a top seller. In fact as people are introduced to the affirmation jewelry concepts it continues to gain in popularity. We also sold handcrafted jewelry for about a year and a half or perhaps two years before we discontinued that style of jewelry.

As we were discontinuing the sale of handcrafted jewelry we were added more sterling silver jewelry to augment the affirmation jewelry.
